Big Bamboo is a Push Gaming video pokie released in 2022. It takes players into a bright Asian forest with pandas, bamboo and bonus symbols that can reveal extra prizes and strengthen Free Spins.

The game uses 5 reels and 6 rows with 50 paylines. The theoretical RTP is usually listed at about 96.13%, but may vary with the operator’s version. High volatility means the pokie is geared towards infrequent but large wins, with maximum potential reaching up to 50000x the stake.

Game features

• Free Spins
• Wild symbols
• Scatter symbols
• Mystery Bamboo
• Golden Bamboo
• Instant Prize
• Gamble Feature
• Bonus Buy
• Multipliers during Free Spins

The main mechanic centres on Mystery Bamboo. These symbols can land on the reels and reveal regular symbols, Wilds or Golden Bamboo. They become especially important in the bonus game, where they can strengthen the round, reveal instant prizes and contribute to large payouts.

Bonus Mechanic

Free Spins trigger through Scatter and Gamble Scatter symbols. The bonus awards free spins and the chance to upgrade the round by converting lower-paying symbols into bamboo. The more symbols that become Mystery Bamboo, the greater the potential of the bonus series.

Golden Bamboo is linked to multipliers and instant prizes. In successful rounds, this mechanic can significantly increase the final win. Bonus Buy may also be available where enabled by the operator.

Theme and style

Big Bamboo uses an Asian style with adventure and animal elements. Visually, the pokie centres on pandas, bamboo, a forest atmosphere and bright bonus symbols. It falls into the categories of Asian pokies, animal pokies, adventure pokies, high-volatility pokies and video pokies.

The presentation makes the game recognisable among Push Gaming releases. It avoids an overly complex structure, instead focusing on bonus symbols, Free Spins, multipliers and the possibility of a very large win.

Popularity among players

Big Bamboo is popular with players from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and New Zealand. It is often chosen by users who enjoy high-volatility pokies, Asian themes, bonus rounds and Mystery-symbol mechanics.

The game suits players who prefer a risky pace, infrequent large payouts and modern pokies with substantial maximum potential. Big Bamboo is especially useful to test in demo mode because its bonus mechanic takes time and several sessions to fully understand.
