Bonanza Megapays is a pokie from Big Time Gaming, released in 2021. The game develops the mechanics of the original Bonanza Megaways and adds the Megapays system with four progressive jackpots. The theme remains connected to a gold mine, gemstones and the search for large wins.

The game area uses 6 Megaways reels with a variable number of symbols and supports up to 117649 winning ways. The theoretical RTP is 96.40%, volatility is high, and the maximum payout in the base game can reach 12000x the stake before progressive jackpots are included. Bets generally start at 0.20 and can rise to 20, although the exact limits depend on the currency and operator settings.

Game features

• Megaways
• Cascading Reels
• Free Spins
• Wild symbols
• Scatter symbols
• Increasing multiplier
• Progressive Jackpot
• Megapays

The cascading mechanic works after every winning combination: the winning symbols disappear and new ones fall into their places. This can create several wins within a single spin and make the base game more dynamic.

Free spins are activated by the GOLD Scatter symbols. During the free spins, an increasing multiplier rises after every cascading win and does not reset until the bonus round ends.

• Mini
• Midi
• Major
• Mega

The jackpot feature is triggered separately after the main game request when the relevant trigger occurs. This allows the pokie to combine the classic Bonanza Megaways format with an extra chance of a progressive payout.

Theme and style

The pokie is styled as a goldfield. Gemstones, card symbols, a dynamite Wild and the letters GOLD, which unlock the bonus mode, appear on the reels. Bonanza Megapays belongs to the following categories: Megaways, adventure pokies and video pokies.

Visually, the game retains the familiar mine and gold-hunting atmosphere but places more emphasis on the jackpot component. The interface remains easy to understand for players familiar with the original Bonanza, while the Megapays system adds more anticipation to every spin.

Popularity among players

Bonanza Megapays is popular with players from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and New Zealand. It attracts players who enjoy Megaways, high volatility, cascading wins and progressive jackpots.

The pokie suits players who prefer bonus spins with an increasing multiplier, a large number of winning ways and jackpot mechanics without giving up the classic Bonanza structure.
