Arriba — Boldplay
Arriba is a video pokie by Boldplay released in 2021. The game uses a festive Mexican style inspired by the Day of the Dead: masks, flowers, guitars, candles, festival symbols and a vivid night-time palette create a carnival atmosphere.
The game grid has 5 reels and 3 rows. Instead of fixed paylines, it uses a 243-ways system, with wins formed on adjacent reels from left to right. RTP is 95.68%, volatility is medium or medium-high, and the maximum win reaches 2500x the bet.

The Wild symbol helps form winning combinations by substituting for regular paying symbols. Scatter triggers the free-spins feature, while the Gamble Feature lets players risk a win after a successful spin for a chance to increase the result.
Bonus mechanic
Free Spins are activated by Scatter symbols. In the bonus, players can choose one of two options: Multiplier Wilds or Walking Wilds. The first focuses on boosting payouts with multipliers, while the second moves Wild symbols across the reels and can create extra combination opportunities.
Boldplay Surprise is a random feature that can turn one symbol on the grid into a Wild. This means even a regular spin can receive an unexpected boost. The feature set makes Arriba more dynamic than a basic 243-ways pokie while keeping the structure clear and free of overcomplicated mini-games.
Theme and style
The pokie uses a Mexican festival and Day of the Dead theme. The reels feature colourful masks, musical instruments, candles, floral motifs, Wilds, Scatters and card symbols. The presentation emphasises a carnival atmosphere, rich colours and festive imagery.
Arriba falls into the categories of Mexican pokies, Day of the Dead pokies, festival pokies and video pokies. It suits players who enjoy 243 ways, medium-high volatility, free spins, Wild mechanics and bonuses with a choice of mode.
Popularity among players
Arriba may appeal to players from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia. Its appeal comes from the Mexican theme, 95.68% RTP, 243-ways system and maximum win of up to 2500x.
The game feels like a bright Boldplay pokie with clear mechanics and several bonus enhancers. The main attractions are Free Spins, the choice between Multiplier Wilds and Walking Wilds, the random Boldplay Surprise feature and a classic risk game after a win.
