Arriba — Boldplay
Arriba is a video slot by Boldplay, released in 2021. The game uses a Mexican festival style with Day of the Dead motifs: masks, flowers, guitars, candles, festival symbols and a bright night-time palette create a carnival atmosphere.
The game grid consists of 5 reels and 3 rows. Instead of fixed paylines, it uses a 243 ways system, with wins formed on adjacent reels from left to right. RTP is 95.68%, volatility is medium to medium-high, and the maximum win reaches 2500x the bet.

Bonus mechanics
Free Spins are triggered by Scatter symbols. In the bonus mode, the player can choose one of two options: Multiplier Wilds or Walking Wilds. The first focuses on boosting payouts with multipliers, while the second adds Wild movement across the reels and can create extra combination opportunities.
Boldplay Surprise is a random feature that can turn one of the symbols on the grid into a Wild. This means even a regular spin can receive an unexpected boost. The feature set makes Arriba more dynamic than a simple 243 ways slot while keeping the structure clear and free of overloaded mini-games.
Theme and style
The slot uses a Mexican festival and Day of the Dead theme. Bright masks, musical instruments, candles, floral motifs, Wild, Scatter and card symbols appear on the reels. The visuals emphasise a carnival atmosphere, rich colours and festive iconography.
Arriba fits the categories of Mexican slots, Day of the Dead slots, festival slots and video slots. It may appeal to players who enjoy 243 ways, medium-high volatility, Free Spins, Wild mechanics and bonuses with a choice of modes.
Popularity among players
Arriba may appeal to players from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia. Its appeal comes from the Mexican theme, 95.68% RTP, the 243 ways system and a maximum win of up to 2500x.
The game feels like a colourful Boldplay slot with clear mechanics and several bonus boosters. The main interest comes from Free Spins, the choice between Multiplier Wilds and Walking Wilds, the random Boldplay Surprise feature and the classic gamble feature after a win.
