Apes of Doom — Stakelogic
Apes of Doom is a slot by Stakelogic released in 2021. It is set in a city taken over by apes, which now control banks, safes, gold and other riches. The gameplay is built around an unusual reel arrangement with dedicated multipliers.
The game uses 4 main symbol reels and 3 additional Multiplier Reels positioned between them. Although the slot formally has 10 paylines, it feels different from a classic 5×3 game. The RTP is 96%, volatility is high and the maximum win is 3351x the stake. Bets usually range from 0.10 to 100.00, while activating Super Stake doubles the cost of each spin.

The defining feature is the set of Multiplier Reels. These reels sit between the main reels and display multiplier values. When a winning combination forms, the multipliers can be applied to the payout and significantly increase the result of the spin.
A golden banana acts as the Wild symbol. It replaces regular paying symbols and helps create combinations on the active paylines. The Scatter symbol triggers Free Spins: 3 Scatters award 10 free spins, while 4 Scatters can award 15.
The multiplier mechanic becomes more important during Free Spins. Matching and non-matching values from the Multiplier Reels can be combined and applied to wins, making the bonus the main source of larger payouts. Additional Scatters can retrigger the feature: 3 Scatters add 5 free spins and 4 Scatters add 10.
Super Stake doubles the spin cost but increases the chance of entering the bonus. Bonus Buy allows direct purchase of Free Spins when the option is available.
Theme and style
Apes of Doom uses a comic-style adventure theme. The reels feature colourful apes, a golden banana Wild, safes, bank imagery, city details and card values. The slot belongs to the categories of animals, apes, city themes, adventure and video slots.
Stakelogic presents the game as a story about apes taking over a city rather than a standard jungle slot. The visual setting is more modern and chaotic, replacing tropical forests with banks, riches, safes and an urban atmosphere.
Popularity among players
Apes of Doom may appeal to players who enjoy unusual Stakelogic slots, high volatility and multiplier bonuses. The maximum win of 3351x is not an extreme value, but the Multiplier Reels and Free Spins make the gameplay unpredictable and active.
The slot may be popular with players from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and New Zealand. It is especially suitable for anyone looking for a video slot with apes, Free Spins, Super Stake, Bonus Buy and an unconventional reel layout.
